Often, CRA will review submitted claims, challenging the eligibility of the advancement under the rules and legislation that dictate eligible and ineligible activities. During the course of the SR&ED claim preparation process, our R&D team prepares a complete Research Investment File, which documents any technical advancement, and supports the expenditures associated with all advancements undertaken during the client’s fiscal year.

Using the Research Investment File, and through discussions with the client, WHEY R+D staff are prepared to assist and prepare the client for all elements of potential SR&ED Reviews that CRA uses for a significant portion of submitted claims. A significant portion of claims prepared each year by WHEY R+D regularly forgoes the review process and are approved as filed. This further reinforces the proven methods employed to thoroughly assess and prepare all information required for claims that are prepared on behalf of clients.
